Great Days of Service is a non-profit association of diverse Irving faith communities, businesses, and civic groups who are united in serving God and community by renewing neighborhoods and aiding homeowners in the restoration of their properties.
In 2002, Great Days of Service was created with a vision of providing an opportunity for churches and people of all faiths to come together to help others. In the beginning, the organization focused on Grauwyler Heights, a neighborhood that was pro-active about its renewal, and GDS has since expanded to the entire city of Irving.
Since the inception, the GDS effort has helped over 200 homeowners in the City of Irving. Teamwork and cooperation have been instrumental in making this program successful. Through the efforts of diverse partners and supporters, more than $100,000 in private contributions have been raised, plus many donated items and services.
